1) I'm going to try in earnest to switch over to Dreamwidth as my primary blogging site.

2) I have three invite codes for Dreamwidth accounts. Comment if you would like one.

3) I am also trying to start actually using an RSS aggregator so that I read blogs outside of DW/LJ, rather than just pretending I'm going to.

4) What blogs should I subscribe to? What non-LJ blogs do you guys have that I should be reading?

1. Why?

2. No thanks.

3. I like Google Reader, but that may be because I use multiple computers. On third thought, perhaps I'd get more done at work if I didn't use Google Reader...

4. There's a lot of interesting academia blogs out there.

Possible reason for #1

LJ is a lot more restrictive. I think that's the main reason people have been switching over. I don't have any personal experience with it, though.

(This comment is sort of so I can test out their OpenID capability.)

Lemme know if it works now. Or do I have to do it from LJ? (How?)

Er, anyway, none of my LJ entries are private these days, hence the psuedo-anonymity and the 30-day expiration.

1) Can you change your footer to display the # comments and also to have a direct link to "comment" or "read comments" from the LJ crosspost? It would make it much easier to read & interact with your dreamwidth blog for those of us back on LJ - at least, assuming you want it to be as transparent as possible. :-) I know exactly how to do this if you want the help.

2) I'll be happy to take an invite code, as I seem to be having trouble making comments with openID. -- truthspeaker
